If you are planning to incorporate an animal exhibit or display on campus, you must obtain approval from Risk Management Services.
To begin the approval process:
- Read the UNT Animals on Campus Policy
- Complete and submit this form at least ten working days before the event. All fields are required, use 'N/A' if not applicable.
- You will receive a response within 5 business days
- Print and display permit at the site during your event.
Insurance approval will be contigent on uploading the following:
**Applicant/Vendor shall provide evidence of general liability coverage, with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence; $2,000,000 general aggregate; and $2,000,000 products/completed operations aggregate. The general liability policy shall name the University of North Texas, its Regents, employees and agents as Additional Insureds.
UNT campus animal activities must meet regulations, prioritize health/safety in approved locations, and ensure animals are controlled, sheltered, healthy (with current vaccinations), and well-behaved. Owners/handlers are responsible for cleanup and must remove stressed animals.
An approval through this process only applies only to the request for animals and shall not be construed as approval for the event. It is the responsibility of the requestor to identify and obtain other required approvals.
